Leo passed away Dec 1, 2012

Leo was born May 19th 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona.  Leo married Tamara Fields Schreven in 1983 and they made their home in Kettle Falls for the past 23 years.

Leo served as an evangelist in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 30 years. His ministry touched the lives of countless thousands around the world and he will be remembered as a dynamic preacher who helped people find Jesus as their Savior. His All Power seminars have blessed multitudes and his DVDs and sermons will continue to benefit future generations.

Leo loved camping, boating, hiking, reading, horses and time with his family. Leo is survived by his wife Tamara, daughter Cierra, parents Leonardus and Johanna, brothers John, Herman, sister Nellie, their spouses and children.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, no sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.  Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’  And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’” Revelation 21:4, 5

“He was known for his dynamic speaking style and emphasis on personal development and financial growth based on biblical principles.”

Who is Leo Schreven?

I met Leo only a few years ago, but he touched and inspired me in such a way that I felt I had known him all my life. Truly, a man that had a great purpose and a mission on planet earth that I was blessed to share with him. I became shocked at his passing away and was compelled to dedicate this web-site to Leo that would honour him for the man that could “Walk The Talk” and inspire others to do the same.

We spoke on many occasions discussing how the Lord brought us together to preach the message of the good news to as many people as possible. As an entrepreneur of 30 years, I have developed excellent public speaking skills, however it was obvious that our union would see Leo deliver his message as the bright star that he was, and I was to assist him.

With my print and postal background, we talked about about providing ordinary Christians with free pamphlets every week that they could deliver to 1,000 homes in their area. These pamphlets would be paid and sponsored by local business owners to penetrate all households. Area by area Gods message would be delivered in your local community and grow worldwide to deliver God’s message around the globe. We called it the “Walk for God” Ministry.

This ministry for the ordinary christian would allow you to go online and choose the message you want. The printed pamphlets would then arrive at your doorstep ready for you to deliver to every home in your 1,000 pocket, every week. Your ministry to local householders would promote the local christian community and preach the message of Jesus.

Though delayed through our life’s circumstances, I do not wish our vision and plans to come to nothing. I wish to hold onto the inspired thoughts we shared and make them a reality.

Acts 20:24
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
New International Version (NIV)

If you wish to join me and Leo’s good spirit in fulfilling this mission and vision, then contact me at info@walkforgod.org.au and I will contact you with further information.

God Bless Leo Schreven

  1. Leo visited our country and I witnessed his testimony and it was powerful and a blessing to hear Leo preach,he was very positive and spirit filled.God bless Leos family at this time, I was sadened to hear he had passed away.Resting in Christ Im sure, one of Gods special sons.

  2. Remembering Leo –
Leo directly touched the lives of tens of thousands of people around the world. Indirectly the number is unknown.

He was introduced to us through T. Harv Eker, Peak Potentials and students of the Millionaire Mind Intensive and Life Direction courses.

After attending our first All Power Seminar weekend, we liked Leo immediately and got to know him a lot better. By the way, getting to know Leo on a personal level was a difficult task since he was always on the go. It was like trying to catch a bus leaving the station at a certain time while waiting for the other passengers to get off first.

We met little Cierra and “Ann” his mom the same day – our wedding ceremony day which Leo performed as a favor to us while he was still an ordained pastor. For a woman who apparently can speak 100 mph/wind gust 150mph, Ann hardly said anything to us.

As the years went by, Outward Branch eventually partnered with All Power during the 2010 Winter Olympics. Together we created an awareness campaign regarding free on-line courses from All Power Seminars. These courses helped people master their entire lives in 60 days, with no strings attached.

It was Leo that originally introduced us to the financial strategy Becoming Your Own Banker using the Infinite Banking Concept®. Leo often said “It is the greatest financial secret I could share with you.” After working out the details on how to properly implement the Infinite Banking Concept in Canada, Leo helped out Outward Branch. He endorsed us at his Canadian seminars as well as on the Canadian version of his Becoming Your Own Banker commentary.

We only met Tamera a year ago even though we had talked on the phone before. She is a very sweet person and very approachable. It was the first time I had ever seen anyone eating blueberry perogies. Apparently they were great! Beside being part of the All Power family, Tamara is also an Infinite Banking Advisor in the United States. Like us, she was also trained by Tom McFie of Life-Benefits.

If there was a unique experience we could share with you about Leo, it would be the private dinner we had with him a year ago shortly after he had Walked Across America in 100 days. Little did Leo know that Leslie “Drove Across America” using the exact same route he took. Leslie’s experience was a lot different than Leo’s and they shared stories.

Tammy and Cierra are wonderful people and will eventually get back to a normal
    life.

Leo will be fondly remembered. He was a man of God, loved by thousands, made people laugh, and spoke from his heart. We loved him dearly.

It’s time to move forward in hope and faith.

  3. I remember meeting Leo about 12 year ago at a Prophecy Seminar in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was because of his seminar that I met the people who would lead me to the church family I was a part of for so many years ago. It was also during these meetings that he inspired my daughter to become baptized. Over the course of years Leo and his beautiful wife came to our church to offer many prophecy and All Power seminars. His love of life and the light that he carried were the first experience many people had had with such a powerful and exciting God. He convicted others with excitement and most importantly with love. I’ll always remember his visit to my home to share his 1 minute quit-smoking plan. I still have that dollar! I remember teaching Cierra in cradle roll on the last visit I saw him and his family. The world will miss Leo and those of us who got to love and know him. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for his family. Just know that I am and always will be praying for all of you. God bless!

  4. Oh my God I am so sad about Leo. I loved him so much and his prophecy seminar was amazing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was the man who finally gave me the truth. I was baptized and married because of him and have thought about him since I heard a week ago tonight at Bible Study. It breaks my heart but we serve a mighty God and I know we will see him again.

    • Yes I Love Leos seminar on Bible prophecy he was very good at Escotology…. But beware his teachings on Hell was not according to the Bible…… There is no such thing as soul sleep…. Hell is a literal place of burning where people go immediately after they die if they do not know Jesus Christ as their savior and obey him know.

  5. We are so saddened to hear of the loss of such a wonderful powerful speaker for our Lord. We attended several of his seminars/presentations here in Santa Fe, New Mexico and we received such a blessing. He will surely be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers of comfort go out to his family and friends. God Bless you all

  6. Leo was my roommate in high school. Even before then our families were close. I learned many things from Leo that I will always cherish. His wonderful spirit always gave me hope and joy when the world became cloudy, dark and gray. I used to hang out with Leo when he was doing research and would have great discussions with him on many topics. He was an avid skier and aspired to be on the US Olympic ski team. Then his goals changed. He poured his heart into studying the Word of God with an intensity which later would change countless lives for the better.
Let Leo’s passing be a wake up call to each of us and to the leaders of his church who he called friends – to never overlook the little things in a person’s life which can lead to such tragic ends. Suicide is the ultimate cry for help in a dying world. We need to be able to read the tea leaves,as it were, and reach out to those who are feeling the pain of rejection and isolation; as Leo did.
Rest in peace my friend! God knows your heart… God knows!

    • So many Christians suffering and praying in silence to this secret life of depression. Leo was a true inspirational teacher of God’s Word and my heart goes out to his family!!!! His Revelation Seminars brought me to truth and a better understanding of what it really means to Walk with God and Jesus Christ as our Saviour. And I completely agree this issue needs to be addressed in the Church and people need to feel secure in being able to talk freely with Church leaders and friends without any condemnation. Leo you will be missed…..

  7. We were were deeply shocked and saddened to learn of Leo’s death. We knew him only through dvd’s, but felt we knew him personally. The way this fine man died is hard to take in and we extend our heartful sympathy to the family.
    New Zealand.

  8. Met Leo in Juneau Alaska. Leo spoke so fast the first morning session. He explained that there was so much info to coverp that we all needed to keep listening and we would eventually catch on. There were more people on the last day of his seminar because his msg. was outstanding .
After his mid day break we spoke about fifth wheeling . He had one for sale. Two months later we met Tamara and Sierra who ended up closing the deal because Leo was somewhere else working.
Leo told me he sat in the engineers room laying out the floor plans of every single square inch. By the time he was finished it totalled $153,000
it was loaded and only for years old.
He came off 75K and sold it to me for $65,000. AND we agreed trade
trucks title for title . Just so happen
he’d been looking for a truck just like mine.
Anytime I had a question I would call him and he was so good about getting back to me .
I loved Leo and his family. Tamara was so deathly sick and Leo was a loving husband

  9. My older brother shot himself due to an illness he had no chance of squashing . My brother was a mans man.Hobbies included motorcycles.Working with steel and a welder. He also enjoyed Reloading ammunition.
The day of his suicide . Lee left a note “I can’t live like this anymore”.
Then called the local police and asked to send over the County Coroner because there’s going to be a shooting.Lee hung up and shot himself.
My disbelief was unfathomable…then when accepted the courage it took to do what he did I prayed to God that he was deathly sick and My Brother had done the Lords works in prisons, home bi le studies

  10. my name is Santos David Chabolla Jr. a long time friend since I met Pastor Leo at my home church in Houston, Texas. I admired Leo so much , he became my personal pastor in my heart. I love him like Jesus and have inspired me. I prays will always go out to his dear family for the rest of my life. Love you Pastor Leo and your family!

  11. I just found out that Leo passed away half year ago. It’s a huge lost for us. I hope to meet him in HEAVEN soon and say to him “thank you” as i will thank for the God’s grace too.
He was my life style changer, God’s messenger and presenter of God’s revelation, truly gifted preacher and communicator. Back in 1992 i was baptized at the end of his powerful, amazing and well delivered ministry within the local Adventist church in Dobrich, Bulgaria. We all that still remember him must go closer to Christ, our Savior, with extra reason to prove that Leo’s service was blessed and we should make it our now and keep going till the same messages will be delivered!

  12. I was so sad to hear about the death of Leo.

My daughter and I heard about the truth of the sabbath along with other biblical truths from the 7th day Adventists through a series of dvds given to us by family members.

We decided straight away to be obedient to God and left our church and joint 7th day adventist church about 3 years ago.

His sermons has been such an eye opener and blessing, and what a wonderful man…..who was not ashamed to say……….”So saith the Lord” and who also encouraged a person to study the Bible for yourselves, rather than to be spoonfed by ministers etc of the church.
Our love and prayers are with his family and church.
    God bless

  13. I attended one of Leo’s All Power Seminars and was so impressed by his energy and enthusiasm! I have never heard anyone present the advent message is such a convincing way! He was so talented and will be greatly missed! His work for God will continue through all the lives he has touched!

  14. Shortly after returning from Desert Storm, I moved to Virginia and attended an excellent series given by Leo at the Courthouse Rd SDA church. I’ve always loved his enthusiasm for sharing God’s Word! Just the other day, I was sharing an SDA magazine with a co-worker that talked about Leo’s list of 100 things he wanted to do – one of them being to walk across the country (2600 miles – he would do 26 miles each day for 100 days). After sharing this with my co-worker, just out of curiosity, I went on line to see if maybe I could order some DVD’s of a recent series of his. I had not heard anything about Leo S in a long time and was absolutely shocked when I saw this news that he had passed a little over a year ago. My heart is with his family and friends and those closest to him! Even though it’s been more than a year, I can’t help but think of how he touched so many lives with his teaching and his enthusiastic way of presenting the love of Christ to others!

  15. From the time I first heard him at a campmeeting, I loved Leo’s style and attitude. I know he was instrumental in leading many people to a closer walk with God. I was instrumental in getting him to come to our local church for meetings and he stayed at our home. I was shocked to hear of his death, but sensed there was an emotional illness of some type. God saved Samson, Hebrews 11 indicates, so we may well see Leo in the Kingdom. That is my prayer.

  16. I am the only Seventh-day Adventist in my family. After my conversion my local church in Missouri bought a 3ABN satellite dish forme to watch in order to strengthen my faith. I remember watching Leo do a series called “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”. It was so powerful, that I immediately purchased that set of VHS tapes and also the All Power Seminar Tapes. I miss having Leo around whose energetic vibrancy was so contagious. His messages have been such an encouragement to me, and countless others that have been positively impacted from coming into contact with him. His life has been like a comet streaking across the heavens in it’s brilliancy, and burning out in such a short time, but who’s memory will never be forgotten, for it’s glory is unmatched, and never to be duplicated exactly again. He was unique, and nothing he did was ordinary. He set high goals, and inspired millions, and accomplished much more than most merely dream of doing. Satan could not stand his success, and so desired his demise. God allowed him to fall under his dark banner for a time, but yet I believe that God will bring him forth from the grave, to once more Shine, with an even greater Eternal light, even as his earthly life shone with a glory that is rarely seen. Sleep now my brother Leo, for when you awake, you shall behold the Fruits of your labors, and you will sorrow no more Forever.

  17. I am not an SDA, however, when watching Leo the first time on a television program on Sunday Morning, I became hooked. A dynamic, charismatic and believable man who loved the Scriptures. My eyes have been opened wide thanks in great part to Leo Schreven. I was so very saddened by the news of his death and so very shocked. Nevertheless, I know his soul rests and awaits the return of God.
I will never be the same thanks to Leo Schreven. What a blessing he was and continues to be.

  18. i too had the good fortune to meet Leo. The other day I happened to turn to a sda channel only to see them using his info. I was quite shocked to see it again. I went online to find many different things about Leo and how people viewed his life and death and how they are using his teachings. I don’t know if is ok for them to use it but God is not copyrighted. Leo taught me a lot of things I will never forget. He made me believe in God and Jesus again and because of his teachings and the person he was I know my life is better.
I only wished he could have dealt with his mental demons. I think he would have been helped with medication. He is missed by all of the people in Bakersfield, CA
